De passage à Lyon / A stop in Lyon

Lyon est mon dernier arrêt avant de retourner à Bâle chez moi pour juin. J’ai toujours plaisir à revenir dans cette belle ville où j’ai quand même passé 7 ans. Passage aux labos, SBRI, ENS, retrouvaille des amis toujours là. Je me sens toujours un peu chez moi dans cette ville. On a bien trainé avec Pierre à se raconter nos souvenirs dans ces rues familières. Un peu de nostalgie…

Mais ce n’est pas le tout, j’avais un Queen of the Mountain à aller rechercher en haut de fourvière. En décembre on était monté avec Antonin en Velo’v, alors je me suis dis que cela devrait être faisable avec Bucephalos et 5 mois d’entrainement. J’ai tout donné dans ces forts pourcentages mais non rien n’y a fait elle est vraiment trop forte, elle me met une minute dans la vue sur un segment de 8 minutes… Il s’avère qu’elle est professionnelle! Bon un peu normal. Au moins j’ai amélioré mon temps !

Lyon is my last stop before going home in Basel for June. I always really like coming back to this beautiful city where I spent 7 years. Paid a visit to the labs, SBRI, ENS, good to see old friends ! I still feel a bit like home in this city. We walked around with Pierre telling stories that the familiar street where reminding us. Quite nostalgic…

But I do not completely forget cycling and I had a Queen of the Mountain to gain back. When we came in December with Antonin we climbed up to Fourvière witht the Velov’, the 15kg-city bikes available everywhere in Lyon and in the mean time someone was much quicker than me. I though with Bucephalos and 6 more months of training it would be easy… Turns out she was one minute faster than me on a 8 min segment… And it turns out, she is a professinal cyclist, ok quite normal then !
